About Me

I am a GIS analyst and environmental researcher currently completing a Master of Science in Geographic Information Systems at Lund University in Sweden. My work focuses on applying spatial analysis to fisheries, aquatic ecosystems, and environmental management.

My thesis examines spatial and temporal changes in Baltic Sea fishing activity using AIS vessel data, kernel density estimation, and spatial modeling. I investigate how fishing effort, fleet behavior, and core fishing grounds change following fisheries policy reform.

My interdisciplinary academic background spans GIS, environmental science, conservation, and fish and wildlife management, with a focus on applying spatial analysis to ecological and fisheries research. I studied at Lund University, University College London (UCL), the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), and Umeå University.


I have participated in aquatic ecology and fisheries fieldwork through university research projects, including fish stock inventories, electrofishing surveys, aquatic invertebrate sampling, water quality monitoring, benthic fauna sampling, fish handling and measurement, behavioral monitoring of smolt, and biotope mapping of watercourses.

Alongside my graduate studies, I worked as a field researcher at the Abisko Scientific Research Station in Arctic Sweden, where I participated in vegetation surveys, plant respiration measurements, and environmental monitoring.

I also worked in marine conservation and sustainable seafood communications in London through the International Pole & Line Foundation, contributing to outreach related to sustainable fisheries and marine conservation. In my free time, I have also volunteered in conservation and research projects across Madagascar, the Philippines, Japan, and Honduras, with experience spanning fisheries sustainability, biodiversity monitoring, aquatic ecology, environmental education, and conservation research.
